The Void
When we mess up writing a check,
we scrawl “Void” across it,
and it becomes uncashable.
When we cannot come to agreement
on a contract, we stamp it “Void”,
and it becomes unenforceable.
What about our other bad decisions?
Is there a void button
for regretful parts of our lives?
Can we wipe away the bad years,
bad relationships, bad investments
with a giant “VOID”?
Or must we rely on our past flops
to let us know what futures to aVOID.
