About Betsy A. Riley

Welcome to my world! In my day job I try to make the world a better place through science and technology (using supercomputers). By night I am an author/artist working towards the same goals, but with different methods. I grew up in a small college town in Kentucky, then spent 35+ years working at a National Laboratory in Tennessee. Now I’m in Maryland, working for the Federal government, and happily married at last. Outside of art and literature, dancing has played the biggest role in my life.

In this blog I will talk about my life, my writing and artwork, and there’s sure to be some dancing. My first book, THE COMET, has been published by BlueDragonPress and is available for sale there and at Amazon.com, merchandise with images from THE COMET are also available.

Nice to meet you in cyberspace. I have two small children of my own that are a challenge enough to care for. Inheriting four children with a new husband must have been hard. Hope it’s also reaped some rewards.
